Kenya’s Gor Mahia team has asked APR FC fans to join them as they play against Rayon Sports in the final game of the CECAFA Kagame Cup 2026.

On this Friday, August 7, 2026, the final matches of the competition between the best teams in East and Central Africa are scheduled at Stade Amahoro.

The final match between Rayon Sports and Gor Mahia, and Rayon Sports fans showed that they will support their team no matter what happens in this match and win the tournament.

The last time Gor Mahia played at Stade Amahoro, they met APR FC supported by Rayon Sports fans and beat them 5-0, which also caused the National Defense team to be eliminated from the group stage.

Despite the resignation, Gor Mahia posted a message on their social media, asking APR FC fans to support them against the in-form Rayon Sports.

He said, “APR boys, let’s meet, we have heard rumors. Are you really supporting us? Let’s get busy and finish the job in the right way, we love you APR.”

The Commander-in-Chief of the Rwandan Armed Forces and Honorary Vice President of APR FC, Gen Mubarakh Muganga, recently asked the fans of this team not to shout at Rayon Sports, when they were going to play against KVZ SC, as their fans did when they played against Gor Mahia F.C.

He said: “Leaders of the fan groups, say hello and have a good weekend. Please allow me to talk to our fans, that first of all we are Kanyarwanda. I heard that there are people who are preparing to shout at the opposing team, because they do it too, even when we play against Gor Mahia.”

“For APR FC it’s very dirty. It’s here. Let APR continue to hunt them down, and the best answer will start on the pitch or we show our stupidity not in front of the visiting foreigners. This won’t happen. The rest is tomorrow night when we fight. The guys need you now more than ever.”
