Bujumbura — The Senior Pastor of Zion Temple Celebration Center, Apostle Dr. Paul Gitwaza, arrived in Bujumbura in Burundi where he joined Christians in a great gathering called “Get Up and Go” which will start on Thursday August 20th until Sunday August 23rd 2026.
This meeting was organized by Zion Temple Celebration Center Burundi in order to celebrate the 25th anniversary of this church that has started evangelism in Burundi.
It is planned that this gathering will bring together thousands of Christians from different parts of Burundi and other countries, and they will come together in prayer, praise God and receive teachings based on His Word.
Apostle Gitwaza brings back a message of hope
Apostle Dr. Paul Gitwaza, who was last in Burundi in 2014, said that he returned with a message of hope and reconciliation, stressing that it is time God wants to do new things in Burundi.
In his message, he said: “Bujumbura, this is your time to rise and shine.”
He continued asking the participants of this meeting to come with open hearts and ready to receive what God has prepared for them.
He said: “I joined you at the Zion Temple Celebration Center Bujumbura to celebrate together what God continues to do after 25 years of evangelical service. We give God all the glory because he is the only one who is trustworthy and remains faithful.”
Apostle Gitwaza also said that this meeting will be a special time to pray and get closer to God, heal, renew and seek Him again.
He expressed confidence that the participants will be given new strength, receive God’s blessings and others will have the opportunity to receive salvation.
“Get Up and Go”, a message of faith
The theme of this gathering, Get Up and Go’, calls people to turn from their sins, those who are discouraged and come back to Jesus, and those who are troubled by problems agree to stand up in faith and follow God’s call.
While Zion Temple Celebration Center is celebrating 25 years of operation in Burundi, the leaders of this church say that it is a time to thank God for what he has done in the lives of believers and re-commit to continue preaching the gospel.
The organizers of this meeting invite everyone to participate, saying that it will be a blessed time that will be characterized by prayers, glorification of God and teachings aimed at building and renewing spiritual life.
This gathering will be held at Zion Temple Celebration Center Bujumbura, from Thursday August 20th to Sunday August 23rd 2026.
