Urban Boys have reunited with Nsengumereyi Richard, the founder of Super Level artists support house and one of the men the group considers most valuable in their musical journey.

These talks took place on the evening of Sunday, August 9, 2026, after a long time the two did not meet again. On the part of Urban Boys, the conversation they had was a good opportunity to remember the history of the one who helped them in the times when Rwandan music had not reached the level it is today.

Nsengumuremyi Richard rose to fame around 2010 through Super Level, one of the music houses that has been instrumental in promoting the talents of various artists including Urban Boys, Bruce Melodie, Ama-G The Black, Mico The Best and Fireman.

Safi Madiba highly praised Richard when he was in an interview on Rwanda Television in the Versus interview, he said that Richard is one of the few investors who were ready to invest a lot of money in music without wanting to be famous or praised by people.

He said: “This is the man who lived and took 20 or 30 million Rwandan francs and put it into music without wanting his name to be mentioned.”

Safi Madiba said that one of the most important support Richard gave them was about 30 Million Frw which helped them to go to Nigeria to make music as a sign of progress in music.  He said at that time, going to Nigeria was a great opportunity for Rwandan artists because it was one of the places where African music had developed the most.

Going to Nigeria gave them the opportunity to work well with experienced music producers and try to expand the music market outside of Rwanda.

Safi Madiba said that Richard did it to help them go further, rather than to seek glory or fame.

He said: “He didn’t need to be told, he wanted us to reach the international level.”

Apart from helping Urban Boys, Richard also participated in the journey of other artists. Safi Madiba said that he was one of the people who helped connect Mico The Best and Diamond Platnumz, which resulted in the collaboration of these artists.

He also added that Richard also invested in Bruce Melodie’s tour in its early years. During Super Level’s heyday, it became a music house that served as a hub for music production and helped artists build their careers. He has helped many talents get the opportunity to expand their careers and make music professionally.

Until now, there have been many different artists who worked in the music production house and are no longer in it, although some of them are no longer working in it and still bring happiness to Rwandans.

On the part of Urban Boys, the reunion with Nsengumuremyi Richard, who was a former promoter, was an opportunity to thank someone who believed in them when many could not find the talent they have to help them make it.

As Safi Madiba said, Richard is one of the people who deserves to be praised for his role in the development of Rwandan music. “This man deserves his flowers,” he concluded

On the side of the artists, there are people who support their music in an invisible way, and give the ability and confidence that helped the Urban Boys group reach the level they have reached now. Richard of Super Level is one of the names Urban Boys says should not be forgotten in the history of Rwandan music.
