The famous singer from Nigeria, Divine Ikubor popularly known as Rema, is expected in Kigali in a great concert that will be held at the BK Arena on September 5, 2026, in order to celebrate and accompany the activities of Kwita Izina 2026.

The Kwita Izina 2026 ceremony will take place in Kinigi in Musanze District on September 4, 2026, where baby geese born last year will be given names in an annual ceremony that has become internationally recognized.

After this ceremony, there will be a concert in Kigali that will bring together Rwandan music lovers and those from different countries. This time, the organizers of the show announced that it will be hosted by Rema, one of the most important artists in Africa and internationally.

Rema has not performed in Rwanda for about five years, but he is back with an even bigger name, after continuing to win the hearts of music lovers around the world through his hit songs.

He will not be alone at this dance, because he will meet other artists from the region and Rwandans. Among the names that have been announced is Kivumbi King, while other artists participating in the show will be announced in the coming days.

The Creation and History of His World Popular Songs

Rema rose to fame in 2019 when he released the song “Dumebi”, which helped him take a big place in Afrobeats music.

After that he went on to release hits in various parts of the world, including “Soundgasm,” “Ginger Me,” “Holiday,” “Calm Down” and “Charm”, among many others.

The song Calm Down, a collaboration with Selena Gomez, is one of the songs that made Rema famous internationally. He was instrumental in continuing to bring Afrobeats to many fans around the world.
